This is the classic Srinagar-Leh highway ridden in the 'easy direction' — you start at altitude in Leh and gradually descend toward sea level, ending at Dal Lake with a shikara ride as your finish line. The highway crosses Fotu La and Namika La before descending into Kargil, then climbs back up for Zoji La — the technical, narrow, thrilling last pass before the landscape turns suddenly green and Kashmir appears. Five days, one of the world's great roads, and an ending you'll be telling people about.
